Asoka barb, puntius asoka, අශෝක පෙතියා

 


There are two pairs of small shoots. There are small dots on the line of scales. The fins are yellow. There is a black spot near the tail.  There are two red stripes on the upper and lower edges of the tail. An adult fish is about four and a half inches long. Lives in rocky streams. Seethawaka Oya from Kitulgala to Avissawella. Endemic to  Sri Lanka.
