Puntius bandula බන්ධුල පෙතියා bandula barb .

 



  • The body has two black stripes on the straight side. 
  • An adult fish is about two inches long. 
  • Takes on a DARK ORANGE color. 
  • Lives Near the bottom of shady streams with sandy bottoms. Endemic to Sri Lanka. 
  • They are a rare species of fish included in the Red Data Book 📖📖📖.  
  • Threatened with extinction. 
  • It is found in the vicinity of Galapitamada area in Kegelle district.
